SUB- is a music driven fable without dialogue that explores the themes of fear, nostalgia and oppression. Can a young girl born and raised in a makeshift submarine find the courage to escape?
A small community who feared the onslaught of a war built an ad-hoc submarine and escaped into the murky depths of the ocean. In the submarine, the passengers are subjected to oppressive routine and propaganda, and they have become oblivious to the world above them. Vira, the only child born in the submarine, discovers a photo of the most beautiful and mysterious thing she has ever seen... a cloud. Her desire to understand what the cloud is propels her on a quest for knowledge and freedom.
